Hello my name is Miranda Tibble and I am a Norland Trained Nanny who is passionate about raising children in the modern world and passionate about helping parents achieve the best out of parenting whatever their philosophy may be!

I have kept my self current by returning to Norland for 'Continuing Professional Development' courses such as Forest Training, as well as attending various other courses, volunteering in a nursery and consistently reading the latest studies on children and babies. I also hold an up to date first aid and CRB certificate and am fully insured.

In addition to this I have contributed articles for the Richmond NCT magazine, School House Magazine and Families North and East London Magazines and Ezine. I work with top child care agencies such as Mortimer Nannies and help run creches at various festivals such as Vintage, Wilderness and Jamie's Big Feastival, the money from which is donated to a number of charities.

My ethos is that parents sometimes just need an angel on their shoulder to gently guide and advise them on child related development, psychology and troubleshooting or perhaps to help them extend their parenting skills to enable them to get the best out of their relationship with their child. After all, we all know that babies, toddlers and children are very complex beings and at each age there are new challenges and rewards from every child. I have a very modern but realistic approach to raising children in the current world that can be adapted to your needs and offer non judgemental , but realistic sound advice delivered with a sense of humour!

Originating from Hampshire, but moving around much of the South of England for the earlier part of my childhood, my family eventually settled when I was 10 in Bath. It was here that I decided after leaving school at 18 that I wanted to work with children, so I applied in 1982 to the prestigious Norland Nursery College which was then based in Denford Park in Hungerford, Berkshire. I was ecstatic to be accepted and after graduating three years later with a wonderful set of skills for raising children, from child development and pyschology to child nutrition, I started my career fully equipped.

I then went on for the next 25 years to develop, hone and expand these skills. I gained worldwide experience of working in the field with babies, toddlers and children from Hong Kong to Sydney to New York in a range of jobs both with families and in child care environments. After returning to London 10 years ago and continuing to work in the field I eventually decided that it was time to offer my experience and training to a wider clientele. This led me to establish myself as a parental consultant.
